Arrive in Bangkok, which has been the capital of Thailand since 1782. At the airport, a transfer is waiting to take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Bangkok, the vibrant City of Angels. As Thailand’s most populous city, Bangkok—known as Krungthepmahanakorn in Thai—is an economic, spiritual, political and cultural hub with numerous temples, palaces, canals, markets, and restaurants to discover.

After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a full-day tour featuring some of Bangkok’s most compelling historic sites, monuments, and landmarks. Experience local modes of transport—from sky trains to riverboats to tuk tuks—on your way to visit Jim Thompson House, a collection of Thai structures erected by the legendary American businessman and silk exporter. You’ll see the Taksin Pier, travelling by boat along the Chao Phraya River and disembarking at Tha Chang Pier. Here you’ll visit the Grand Palace, a former Royal Residence and home of the Emerald Buddha. Next, take a tuk tuk to Wat Pho, which features a massive Reclining Buddha, and enjoy a one-hour foot massage. After returning to your hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure to explore Bangkok.

Today, after breakfast at your hotel, travel by coach bus to the fascinating Ayutthaya Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. Here, you’ll visit some of this former city’s most renowned Buddhist temples, including Wat Mahathat and Wat Na Phra Meru. Stop for lunch in an idyllic spot along the riverside, and enjoy views of the slow-moving water. After lunch, board the Thanatharee for a culture-themed cruise to Wat Phanan Choeng and Royal Elephant Kraal, where you’ll get up close and personal with these gentle giants. A coach bus returns you to your hotel.

Following a leisurely breakfast, check out of your hotel. A transfer will take you to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport for your flight to Hong Kong, China. Upon arrival and after checking in to your hotel, the remainder of the day is spent at your leisure.

HONG KONG

Breakfast is served at your hotel this morning. After, enjoy a half-day tour of this dynamic city’s cultural wonders, landmarks, and attractions. See Victoria Peak, the mountain covering the western half of the island of Hong Kong and Aberdeen, known for its floating village and seafood restaurants, where you’ll have the option to take a sampan ride. Next, discover historic Repulse Bay in the southern part of Hong Kong, then tour Stanley Market to shop for bargains. Before returning to your hotel, you’ll visit a renowned jewelry workshop.

In the afternoon, experience Hong Kong from an iconic, 1920’s-style open-top tramcar. Here, you’ll witness both historical and contemporary landmarks, and learn about life in the city from a local guide. The tour includes a two-day tramway system ticket so that you can explore the city on your own, experiencing an insider’s perspective.

HONG KONG

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a food-themed walking tour of Hong Kong—a paradise for foodies. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll taste the many flavours this city has to offer, savouring classic dishes and drinks at the preferred restaurants of Hong Kong’s residents. Learn about Hong Kong’s culinary history and culture, while also getting a glimpse into the local way of life. On the tour, choose to explore one of three of the city’s most renowned areas: Central and Sheung Wan, Sham Shui Po, or Tai Po.

HONG KONG

This week-long discovery of two of Asia’s most exciting metropolises ends today. After breakfast at your hotel, check out and take a transfer to the airport to prepare for your onward journey.
