Nick Cannon Was Admitted To The Hospital With Pneumonia

If you were out and about this weekend and things didn’t seem as overpopulated as they normally would, it might’ve been because Nick Cannon was indisposed and unable to spontaneously reproduce. In some Papa Nick news that’s shockingly not another “we’re expecting” announcement (although the day is still young), Nick posted on Instagram that he landed in the hospital with pneumonia on Friday but is on the mend.

People said that in Nick’s since-deleted Instagram post, he shared with all of his fans that after just performing in a sold-out Wild ‘N Out tour stop at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, he had to seek medical attention on Friday. Nick also has the autoimmune disease, lupus, which may have been a contributing factor.

Nick Cannon is in the hospital after coming down with pneumonia.

The Masked Singer host, who also lives with lupus, shared images of himself via Instagram in a hospital bed and wearing a beanie, a face mask and a gown.

While this news is concerning, I first had to wrap my head around the fact that Wild ‘N Out is still a thing. But, Nick says although this reminded him that he isn’t Superman (because his virility and fertility must’ve previously convinced him that he was), this illness is just a hurdle, and he’ll be back in action soon enough–though he hasn’t updated on his condition or hospitalization since his original post.

“Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman… ,” he wrote in the caption. “I promised myself I would never be back at this place again…”

However, the father of 11 said he’s learned a “great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won’t be able to take care of everyone else.”

Staying optimistic, Cannon told his supporters, “Don’t trip though, I don’t need any well wishes or prayers , just some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever…”

He then let fans in on what’s going on, writing, “It’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle.”

“Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I’m all alone in a tiny hospital room. Life is definitely a rollercoaster! #LupusWarrior,” he said.

Here’s the post (that he deleted at some point):

All jokes aside, Nick just posted earlier today that it’s the one-year anniversary of the loss of his and Alyssa Scott’s (she’s currently expecting again with Nick) infant son, Zen, who died of brain cancer. Even though Nick said he didn’t need well wishes or prayers to deal with pneumonia, he asked that people do send positive thoughts his way as he deals with this painful anniversary:

Sending warm thoughts Nick’s way as he deals with the very tough week he’s having. I’m sure he’ll be back at it in no time, so I’ll also reserve some of those warm thoughts for all of the uteri within a 1,000-mile radius of him. Stay vigilant, ladies. There’s not going to be any child support left for you, so don’t even think about mounting Nick’s baby batter cannon–not even once.
