Beyoncé Reportedly Ran #MeToo Checks On Collaborators On Her New Album “Renaissance”

You may remember a little song called Drunk in Love from Beyoncé’s 2013 self-titled album Beyoncé. Welp, producer Detail (government name: Noel Fisher) was later arrested in August 2020 and charged with raping five women and sexually assaulting a sixth between the years of 2010 and 2018. Noel has denied the accusations, but Beyoncé is not going to have some shit like this come out again about someone who makes a hit for her. So much so that everyone who worked on her new album, Renaissance, which comes out on July 29, got the once-over and was checked for skeletons in their closet. I’m sure that Beyoncé has been doing these checks on people since her sister Solange had to square up with her husband Jay-Z on that elevator after he allegedly banged Rachel RoyOR Rachael Ray, depending on who you ask. Can’t surprise Beyoncé twice!

The Sun says that Beyoncé ran checks on everybody involved in her new album, her own team included (but did she run a check on Jay-Z?!). That’s an awkward day at work, “Thanks for the makeup, Cynthia–PS: you’re being investigated for any misdoing.” But Beyoncé is not taking any chances and wants to set an example–so much so, that sources tell the Sun she already rejected songs from two high-profile artists who face accusations.

I can reveal that the Break My Heart singer has vetted producers and rejected songs by artists for her upcoming record Renaissance if they have faced accusations of abuse or harassment…

A music insider said: “Beyonce was devastated when she found out Detail, one of her collaborators, was accused of rape and sexual assault.”

She stopped working with him and her team now run #MeToo checks on any potential collaborators.

“Two songs from high-profile artists have been rejected because of allegations they are facing.”

Although neither has been found guilty, she’s sending a clear message to the industry in the wake of troubling cases from people like R Kelly and Harvey Weinstein.

“She’s rubbed some people up the wrong way but she doesn’t care. She won’t go anywhere near you if you’ve been accused of going after one of her peers.”

Beyonce is a leader in her business and wants to set an example that any abuse shouldn’t be normalized.

“This is why her new record is about empowering women.”

I guess we won’t be seeing Nicki Minaj anywhere on this new album since her husband, Kenneth Petty, is a convicted attempted rapist. Feeling Myself and Flawless (Remix) will live on alone. Now I wonder, did Beyoncé hire a professional investigative team to get to the bottom of people’s lives and accusations? Or did she simply ask the Beyhive to deep-dive into someone’s life as they tend to do on their own any time someone slights their Queen?
