Harry Styles Canceled His Copenhagen Show After A Shooting At A Mall Close To The Venue
It seems like we can’t go a full day without hearing about or being eerily close to a gun-driven nightmare. This weekend was sadly no exception. There were many shooting deaths across the country including the mass shooting in Highland Park, IL on Fourth of July morning. And across the ocean, there was a deadly shooting at a Copenhagen, Denmark mall that spurred Harry Styles to cancel his show that was supposed to take place at a nearby venue that evening.
People reported that a few hours before Harry’s Sunday, July 3 Love On Tour show was scheduled to begin at the nearby Royal Arena, a lone gunman opened fire in a mall, killing several and injuring many.
Hours before he was due to go on stage, the shooting broke out at a Field’s mall in the Danish capital, Copenhagen Police announced in a social media statement on Sunday. One person has been arrested in connection to the shooting, police said. They described the shooter as a 22-year-old male.
The Copenhagen Police posted on Twitter giving a little more information on the scope of the tragedy:
More than one person is confirmed dead, and several people are injured.
If you are in Copenhagen, contact your relatives and let them know, that you are ok.
Please forward our information, if you have friends or relatives in the area #politidk— Københavns Politi (@KobenhavnPoliti) July 3, 2022
They later gave more specifics and shared that ten people were shot–three died and seven were injured. Police are now asking for anyone who may have anything that could aid in the investigation to come forward.
Authorities also noted they are “looking for witnesses, pictures and videos from the incident” to aid them in their investigation.
Harry hung up his chunky beaded necklace, took off his sequined onesie, and sat down to rest his gyrating hips and to send out a message to his Copenhagen fans, expressing his heartbreak and sending them love:
I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.
I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting.
I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H

Queen + Adam Lambert and Pearl Jam are also scheduled to perform in the coming weeks at the same venue, but no word yet on if those shows will be affected by this shooting. Can we just tranquilizer dart the more deranged members of the 18-24-year-old male demographic for a while? Tag them like bears? They all have weird YouTube channels and Monster Energy IV drips, so they should be easy to identify, no? The rest of us are tired as hell of this emotionally exhausting fuckery and want to be able to go to concerts and dance like Elaine from Seinfeld without having to worry about if the sounds we just heard were intentional pyrotechnics or gunshots from an angry Chad who was just rejected by a girl on Tinder that he’s never met.
